.Net Developer

This role will involve working on every aspect of technical development of Microsoft .Net application.

Due to the nature of the projects, this role will involve working in an environment requiring small and frequent functional releases. The Developer will be responsible for ensuring code is progressed all the way through the testing and release cycle.

Flexibility with regards to travel is needed for this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Handling change requests and providing quick and efficient solutions
- Analysing business requirements and transforming them into technical design
- Implementing the design to develop and test the functional requirements
- 2nd line application support
- Source code maintenance
- Interacting with business teams to understand the business requirements
- Providing timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
- Assessing risk and impact on the existing system that may arise due to any requirement or functional change and reporting to the manager
- Documenting of developed code and documenting of design specifications
- Peer code review
- Dissemination of knowledge to support staff
- Undertake other duties as required that are within skills and abilities or aspirations of the post holder.

-Strong and Proven technical skills and knowledge (development and support) in all of the following:
-ASP.Net
-.Net development
-C#
-WPF, WCF
-SQL 2008 or higher
-Scripting
-SQL Server Reporting Services
-Transaction SQL
-XML & Web Services
-MS Access
-Tools namely SQL Enterprise edition, Visual Studio IDE, SOAP UI, Eclipse IDE.
